What can I expect when dining at The Table?

​The Table is a relaxed, fine dining restaurant situated in the heart of Edinburgh offering one multi course tasting menu. You will sit along a marble bar overlooking the kitchen and are welcome to interact with the chefs Sean and Keith as little or as much as you like. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It's like having a private dinner party at a friends home. The music we play is an eclectic mix to suit most tastes.

How far in advance can I make a booking?

Bookings can be made up to 24 hours in advance. We only taking bookings up to 3 months in advance. For more information about specific months opening dates, please email us at info@thetableedinburgh.com

Can you explain the ticketing system?

When booking in with us you will be required to pay in advance for a ticket (like going to  the theatre or a concert). All sales are final. The ticket is non refundable and only good for the date and time purchased. If for any reason you are unable to attend dinner on the date you are booked in for then please contact us as soon as possible at info@thetableedinburgh.com. We will try our best to resell your seat and with enough advanced notice we may be successful. Then we will work with you to reschedule your reservation. If we are unsuccessful and cannot resell your seats then unfortunately you will not receive a refund and will not be able to reschedule your reservation.

Can I purchase Gift Vouchers?

We sell gift vouchers for the value of £70 per person which entitles the holder to our multi course menu. Gift vouchers can be paid for and collected from the restaurant. Please call us on 0131 281 1689 before coming in to ensure someone is there to help you. We can also send gift vouchers out to you, please email us on info@thetableedinburgh.com for more information.

How do I book in with a Gift voucher?

It's easy! Simply call us on 0131 281 1689, Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 12pm and 6pm to book in with a Gift Voucher as they cannot be used when booking in online.

Do I need to book all 10 seats?

You don't have to book all 10 seats. We accept bookings of any number apart from groups of 9. If you are a group of 9 you will be required to book for 10.

How long will the evening take?

The evening can take up to 4 hours depending on the guests in the restaurant that evening and the amount of interaction with the chefs.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

​Unfortunately due to the small nature of our operation we are unable to cater for any dietary requirements or allergies and we are unable to make any substitutions. The food is prepared in a kitchen that is not kosher or allergy controlled. 

What time does the restaurant open?

 We open the doors to the restaurant at 7pm sharp and as all parties in the same sitting are served at the same time we do require all guests to arrive at 7pm. Please be aware that we don't have a suitable waiting area in the restaurant and we are therefore unable to grant access before 7pm.  If guests are 15 minutes late then the evening will start without you. If guests are 30 minutes late then we reserve the right to refuse entry.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code. Your welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Can I purchase alcohol?

We don't have an alcohol licence in the restaurant at the moment so we operate a BYOB policy with a corkage charge. 

Do you sell soft drinks etc?

We sell water, soft drinks, coffee and tea in the restaurant.
